You can differentiate between love and infatuation when you know the basic qualities of love. Below are two basic qualities of love.

Love is Kind. Kindness is one of such numerous qualities of Love. It is common for one to get help from a stranger in the time of need. Such help from somebody who you may not have known is a good example of love.

When hardship comes to someone you love, what do you do? If you truly love the person in question, you will be kind enough to provide such a person with money, food, cloths, etc to enable the person cope in hard times. Kindness is an inseparable quality of love.

Love is not selfish. Love does not look for its own selfish interest. You should not be self-centered. Always try to help others in time of difficulties. If your friend have problem, assist him or her in solving such problem. Love always makes one to seek for the interest and well-being of others.
